WATERLOO – Authorities are recommending motorists remain off the roadways this early morning (Thursday) following an right away ice storm accountable for a number of semi crashes and two collisions that demolished squad vehicles.
Two semis rolled in an accident on Highway 218 around the intersection with Cedar Wapsi Street, reported Capt. Mark Herbst with the Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Office.
He reported there ended up also tractor-trailer crashes on Interstate 380 in close proximity to the Gilbertville exit.
Herbst stated there had been also several incidents between these two spots.
Two Sheriff’s Workplace squad patrol vehicles were struck while deputies ended up doing the job the collisions, Herbst stated. He reported no major injuries ended up noted in the squad vehicle crashes.
